Crystal S. Stump, Esquire
Mrs. Stump is committed to helping families build their families through adoption. An attorney and adoptive parent, Mrs. Stump recently left her active litigation practice to devote her practice to adoption matters solely. She resides in Charleston, West Virginia with her husband and three young children.
Mrs. Stump was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She attended Monmouth College in Monmouth, Illinois, where she received her B.A. in French and International Studies in 1989. She received her J.D. degree in 1993 from Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, Virginia. She moved to West Virginia in 1993 and is proud to call West Virginia home. She was admitted to practice law in West Virginia in 1993 and is a member of the West Virginia State Bar.
Mrs. Stump is actively involved in the adoption community, having founded the Guatemala Adoptive Families Association of West Virginia (GAFA of WV), having drafted and lobbied in the 2003 legislative session for the passage of the international adoption statute which allows West Virginia to recognize foreign adoption decrees and regularly speaking with families considering adoption as well as adoptive families.
